This past year has been difficult for all of us. We have all experienced it in so many different ways. Some have suffered great loss, others frustrations, and most all of us, some questions about all the unknowns. No matter your experience during these past 12 months, you’ve been in my thoughts and prayers.
Last year at this time, I, too, was anxious of many unknowns. I feared losing my shop, my employees, and my livelihood. Spring merchandise orders were coming in, orders we had placed long before the pandemic. Little did we know, we weren't going to be dressing the same way for work, social lives, and travel for an entire year!
I decided to take a chance, though, because I believed in my customers and friends. I followed my heart and continued to place orders during the spring and into summer. I wanted to make certain our website was chalk full of everything you might want or need, carefully picking pieces to bring small joys and smiles to your life. We poured our hearts into transforming both our digital platforms and storefront to align with our customer’s needs during the past year, crossing our fingers that shopping small and local would be first on your mind.
And guess what happened?
We worked long hours those first few months and you all came through in some BIG, generous ways. You stopped by (safely, of course) the shop even when we were closed, you called, and you ordered online! You were there for us when we needed you the most, you showed us that we were important to you and as it turns out...we had the BEST YEAR we’ve ever had in the history of Be the Boutique.
As a small business owner, thank you doesn’t seem to fully express the gratitude I’m feeling one year later. I am filled with such joy as I think back to each of your visits, calls, and orders coming through. I am forever grateful to you, my customers, family, and friends for choosing to support YOUR local boutique. Knowing that you chose to make Be the Boutique such a vital part of your gift giving, your wardrobe, and your home during this past year, warms my heart. We all embraced our home environment in deeper ways these past 12 months, and I am honored and humbled to be your local source for brightening those homes and the hearts that dwell there. Simply put...you were there for us. We will forever be here for you. 💕
